The volume contains research papers presenting widely differing approaches and elaborating different problems from standpoints that are often innovative, instructive and very fruitful. In accordance with the conception and mission of the DICSEP conferences and publications, these contributions should continue stimulating the international research in the field of the Sanskrit epics and Purāņas as crucial works in the Indian literature, religion and culture, and as literary monuments which have had a great impact on the heritage of Asia and mankind. We hope that the contributions to this sixth volume of the DICSEP publications will attract the due attention of the international scholarly community.
